he purpose of this internship is to provide support in maternal newborn and child health (MNCH) to the Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) cluster in the Technical Unit of the Health Programs Group (HPG) at Management Sciences for Health (MSH). This internship will be focused on state of the art and innovative interventions in MNCH and nutrition.

Interns must be either a current student receiving credit for the internship or fulfilling a requirement to complete an internship
Knowledge of MNCH and other public health issues
Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills

Excellent inter-personal skills
Computer skills essential: proficiency in Microsoft applications
What are the student takeaways:
- Gain experience in conducting research on MNCH and nutrition technical issues to include a definition of the condition, biomedical/socio-demographic/economic risk factors, prevalence data, diagnosis, care, treatment, current interventions at the community level
- Learn and practice ways to disseminate technical information to staff, share research findings, develop and disseminate documents, prepare slides for presentation, etc
- Gain practical experience in working within the MNCH unit of an international NGO

-Internship candidates must be full or part time students earning university credit for their internship.
-This is an unpaid internship and candidates are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
