MSH is currently seeking candidates to this position for an anticipated 5-year, $50 million public health project focused on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH). This project will be funded by the United Stated Government (USG) and will implement activities at national and sub-national levels in Burma. This position is contingent upon project award and funding.

Specific Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Under the supervision of the Project Director, be responsible for the design and implementation of the monitoring, evaluation, operations research and knowledge management activities of the RMNCH project.
  • Ensure the integration of M&E activities into all project components
  • Lead the timely and accurate collection, processing and reporting of the program information to the donor agency.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A university degree in a health profession (medical doctor, nurse, midwife). A masters degree in public health (or a related science) is highly recommended.
  • At least 12 years of professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a senior technical advisor (or equivalent position) of a public health project with RMNCH activities.
  • Working experience improving promotional, preventive and curative capacities of community, private and/or government health providers.
  • Working knowledge of the English language is required.
  • Working knowledge of the Burmese language is recommended.
  • The participation of qualified Burmese candidates, and/or candidates with working experience and/or current residence in Burma is encouraged.
  • Significant travel to project sites (specifics to be determined) is expected.
