Overview
The primary focus of this position is the management and maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. This role will be a manager of systems (not people) but is expected to be the key contact in the organization for all HR technology including the liaison to Payroll and IS. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for day-to-day system support, data analysis, reporting, interfacing with users, research and evaluation of new solutions, implementation of systems and systems training. This individual is responsible for ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. This is a critical, highly visible role with the charter to bring the firm's HR systems up to date through the use of new technology and interfaces with other MSH systems.
Specific Responsibilities
- Provides HR business analytics support by defining business metrics, creating data models that are scalable and defining and implementing output that is user friendly.
- Manage and complete annual compliance related reporting such as EEO, Affirmative Action and VETS filings
- Proactively evaluate, analyze and recommend solutions to system revision requests and streamlining of HR processes.
- Responsible for data integrity and on-going maintenance of the systems
- Enter field staff data into HRIS system
- Supports the users day-to-day by answering questions and resolving issues that they are having when using our HR applications.
- Interviews users to identify evolving business needs and develop and implement best practices globally.
- Manage/create internal HR procedures, workflows and process flows in conjunction with other HR areas, under the guidance of Benefits Manager.
- Creates and presents training as required (may be virtual, one-on-one or classroom format) on HR systems and processes.
- Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Provides technical advice that enables a customer to solve a problem or improve business processes.
- Manage Employee and Manager Self- Service functions and features within HRIS system.
- Manage, design and structure HR databases, interfaces and core systems to support HR functions, processes, data and testing
- Manage interfaces and multi-platform integration with benefit vendors, timesheet system and other internal systems
Qualifications and Experience
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field and equivalent work experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience working with Human Resources and/or HR information systems
- Proficient in creating spreadsheets and reports using both HR system report writers and Microsoft Excel.
- Highly analytical mindset with strong ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Organized, with strong time task management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling highly sensitive information
- Detail oriented with a compliance mindset
- Ability to establish positive working relationships both internally and externally
- Proven project management/delivery experience
- Experience in a diverse, multi-location environment (ideally international)
- Knowledgeable in HR business process and creating workflows
- Understanding of HRMS database design, structure, functions and processes and database tools
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal; informal & formal) with all levels of employees and management.
- Must be a detail-oriented, outcome-driven individual and able to manage & prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent Project Management, presentation, training/coaching skills.
- Willingness to travel periodically
